Pomona California Attractions
The California State Polytechnic University of Pomona, also known as Claremont McKenna College, Claremon Valley College and California Institute of Technology, is located largely outside the city limits of Pomona. Cal Poly students claim Claremont and fill a large portion of the city's 1.5 million square feet of land.
Pomona is part of Greater Los Angeles and borders the San Gabriel Valley, San Bernardino County and the city of Pomona. It is home to the University of Southern California, California State Polytechnic University, Claremont McKenna College and Claremon Valley College.

The highway is the main route between Los Angeles and San Bernardino County and the San Gabriel Valley and from there to Claremont.
On the Route 66 map of California you can see the orientation of US 66 through the city and view Pomona and its distance from the highway along Foothill Blvd. This shows the N.O.T. Highway, which runs along the north side of the Santa Fe Railroad in Los Angeles County and through Claremont (38 miles). It was built to follow the Santa Fe to San Bernardino rail lines and was the main link between Pasadena and the San Gabriel Valley and from there to the San Bernardino Valley. There is a lot of data that indicates that there is no direct connection between US 66 and any other highway in the area, but it is far enough away to get you away from Pompton.
Route 66 reaches La Verne after passing the CA 71 that connects it to Pomona. The first section of the N.O.T. Highway from San Bernardino to Claremont was completed in 1931, but in 1938 the entire highway through San Bernardino became a divided highway and in 1938 it was completely closed.
Pomona is connected to downtown Los Angeles and downtown Riverside by Metrolink, and Amtrak connects Pomona with Sunset Limited and Texas Eagle. Adobe structure you should visit is the Pomona County Courthouse, built in the 1839 "s and one of the oldest houses in our Pomonona Valley. Other historic sites you can visit include the San Bernardino County Historical Society, Lincoln High School, the Los Angeles County Museum of Natural History and the California State Museum. This place is full of concert attractions and one of the leading concert venues in the region. The theatre is the centre of the Pomona Art Colony, which includes lofts, restaurants, nightclubs and galleries.
If you want to spend a day with your family in the pumpkin patch or if an evening hunting with friends is more your thing, Pomona has plenty of exciting autumn activities to offer. Even more exciting is when it comes to California State Park, a place where the whole family can see something interesting, make memories and have fun in other ways.
You should also check out Auto Club Raceway Pomona, built in the 1950s and still hosting the NHRA Winternationals Finals. The 43-acre facility is owned by the county and is home to the largest drag race event in Southern California. If you are stuck on campus at the weekend, check in at the California State University, Los Angeles (CSULA) campus. There is also a wide selection of local restaurants and bars as well as a variety of shops and restaurants.
If you miss the Arts Walk, you'll be in downtown Pomona to visit the Art Walk and browse through the many art galleries, museums and other arts and crafts shops. You will find many different locations, including the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Art Gallery of Southern California, California State University, the Los Angeles campus (CSULA) and many more.
For a romantic dinner, the Pomona Valley Mining Company offers stunning views of Pomons Valley. For a luxurious stay, the nearby Anaheim Disney Resort complex offers Disney California Adventure Resort, Disneyland Anaheim and the Walt Disney World Resort in Anaheim.
